WHENEVER / WHEREVER WE CAN was a large-scale public sculpture by Olalekan Jeyifous installed in the Meatpacking District as part of From A Place, Of A Place. Reimagining stoops, porches, and fire escapes as monuments to Black gathering practices, the installation celebrated adaptation, resilience, and community through vibrant geometric forms inspired by African and African American textile and quilt-making traditions.
